How to get started
Connect Laptop to dCloud Session Using Cisco AnyConnect (Cisco Secure Client)
Use Cisco AnyConnect Client Already Installed on Your Laptop
Access to this lab session in Cisco dCloud requires a VPN connection between your laptop and the dCloud data center that is hosting your session.
To use the Cisco AnyConnect client already installed on your laptop:
- For the AnyConnect credentials, please refer to the information provided on the CiscoLive! Lab Assistant page.
- Start Cisco AnyConnect on your laptop.
- Retrieve the Host URL details as outlined in the Pod details section on the CiscoLive! Lab Assistant page. Write this information into the URL Connection box within the AnyConnect login window, and subsequently, click on the Connect button.
- Obtain the user ID (User) and password from the Pod details section on the CiscoLive! Lab Assistant page. Write each credential into the corresponding fields within the Cisco AnyConnect login window.
- Click OK.
- Click Accept on the window confirming your connection.
- When connected to your AnyConnect VPN session, the AnyConnect VPN icon is displayed in the system tray (Windows).
- To view connection details or to disconnect, click the AnyConnect VPN icon and then choose Disconnect.

Open a terminal in your Remote Development Environment
To open a integrated terminal in your Remote Development Environment:
- Click on the "hamburger" in the top left corner -> Terminal -> New Terminal.
- If your remote development environment looks like the following (with the respective pod number), you are all set:
Warning
During the lab you will need to Copy&Paste. This works fine with Ctrl+c
and Ctrl+v
. However, right click to paste will not work.
